Stellantis-owned mobility provider Free2move has added 50 Opel Mokka Electric vehicles to its carsharing fleet in Amsterdam, as part of an ongoing effort to expand its battery-electric offerings in the Dutch capital.
Free2move said the expansion supports its policy of operating an all-electric fleet in Amsterdam. The Opel Mokka Electric joins existing models such as the Corsa Electric and Peugeot e-208, already available via the company’s app.

The latest addition is aimed at addressing user preferences for larger electric vehicles, according to Lotfi Louez, Co-CEO of Free2move. “This collaboration with Opel allows us to offer vehicles that are perfectly aligned with customers’ needs, enhancing their overall experience with an easy-to-use charging experience, and is a first step towards the future inclusion of new models in the fleet,” Louez said.
The Mokka Electric features a 115 kW powertrain and a 54-kWh battery. In comparison, the Corsa Electric variant currently in use includes a smaller 100 kW motor and a 50-kWh battery.

The vehicles can be located, reserved, and unlocked through the Free2move app, with users offered flexible rental options ranging from per-minute to daily rates. The app also supports “Digital Charging,” enabling users to initiate charging without a physical card.
Andres van der Kuil, Managing Director of Opel Netherlands, said the partnership reflects the growing relevance of electric vehicles in urban mobility. “This expansion with Free2move underscores the Mokka Electric’s growing role in sustainable urban transport. We look forward to supporting Free2move in Amsterdam and beyond,” he said.
