Rivian has named Sreela Venkataratnam as its new Chief Accounting Officer, the company announced. She will oversee financial reporting, tax and trade, internal controls, compliance, finance transformation, and manufacturing controllership.
Venkataratnam brings over 25 years of finance and accounting experience, including more than a decade at Tesla, where she served as Vice President of Finance and Business Operations until 2024.

She played a key role in scaling Teslaās global operations and improving business efficiencies. Prior to Tesla, she held finance positions at Kleiner Perkins, Intuitive Surgical Inc., and Mercury Interactive Corp., beginning her career as an auditor at Ernst & Young in Toronto.

Rivian reported $4.97 billion in revenue over the past year, with a 12.09% growth rate. The company recently posted its first positive gross profit and is preparing for the launch of its next-generation R2 vehicle.
