UK charging infrastructure provider Evolt Charging has partnered with software company Ampeco to support its electric vehicle charging services across the United Kingdom.

The collaboration includes the rollout of Evolt’s new eConnect+ charging management platform, which integrates Ampeco’s hardware-agnostic software to allow operators to manage charging infrastructure from multiple manufacturers within a single system.

The platform enables Evolt to oversee a multi-vendor charging network while supporting features such as dynamic load management for depot and commercial installations, multi-operator network management, and open application programming interfaces (APIs) designed to allow customised integrations for different customer requirements.

The system also includes artificial intelligence-based operational tools, including automated fault resolution, failed authentication analysis, and session anomaly detection, aimed at improving network monitoring and operational efficiency.

Evolt provides end-to-end EV charging services including consultancy, hardware supply, installation, maintenance, software management, and driver support. The company currently manages more than 10,000 charge points across the UK, serving roughly 400,000 EV drivers and processing over three million charging sessions annually.

According to the company, the partnership reflects growing operational complexity as charging networks expand and operators must manage a wider range of technologies, stakeholders and system integrations.

“After 15 years supporting the UK EV market, we’ve seen the expectations placed on charging solution providers increase significantly,” said Justin Meyer, Managing Director at Swarco Smart Charging.

“Our business offers a wide range of innovative charging solutions and services which provide specific functionality for the different strategic market sectors we serve,” Meyer said.

He added that the diversity of Evolt’s customers requires a flexible technology platform capable of handling different operational environments. “Bringing together two best-in-class EV charging leaders gives us the platform we need to support the next stage of our growth,” Meyer said.

Stefan Ivanov, Chief Revenue Officer at Ampeco, said the collaboration would support the development of software solutions for large charging networks.

“It is a great honour to support Evolt, a leader in the UK’s EV charging space. Working with such an experienced operator helps us stay laser-focused on solving the pain points of large-scale providers and developing features with a real impact at scale,” Ivanov said.

“At Ampeco, we provide more than just a solid platform with industry-leading security and reliability; we empower Evolt to enhance and customise our technology with the unique selling points they need to stay ahead of the competition,” he added.
