Source has partnered with Siemens eMobility and Evolt Charging to establish a unified maintenance and operational model for its electric vehicle charging network across the UK and Ireland.

The companies said the agreement is intended to support network reliability and simplify maintenance operations as Source expands its ultra-rapid charging infrastructure.

Under the partnership, Siemens eMobility will supply DC fast-charging hardware for an increasing number of Source charging hubs, while Evolt Charging will manage installation, commissioning and field maintenance services.

According to the companies, the arrangement is designed to create a single operational framework covering multiple charger types and geographic regions.

Evolt Charging said it will deploy engineering teams across Scotland, England, Wales and the Republic of Ireland. The company added that its engineers are already trained and accredited to service Siemens eMobility charging equipment.

The partnership will allow Source to coordinate maintenance and repair activities through a single service provider regardless of site location or charger configuration.

The companies said the collaboration supports Source’s goal of maintaining charging network uptime above 99%.

Siemens eMobility will provide specialist technical assistance when required, while Evolt Charging will oversee day-to-day operational support in the field.

Source currently operates ultra-rapid charging hubs across the UK and Ireland and plans to expand the network to 300 sites by 2030.

The company said all charging hubs are equipped with chargers delivering at least 150 kW of power, with some locations offering higher-capacity systems.

“Charging infrastructure is only as good as the team keeping it running,” said Deepa Chandrasekaran, Managing Director at Source.

“By bringing together Siemens eMobility’s hardware expertise and Evolt Charging’s nationwide engineering capability, we have a model that means our customers can rely on our network wherever they are,” Chandrasekaran added.

Stephen Wood, Head of Siemens eMobility UK, said the agreement was “built for scale” and focused on ensuring “high uptime, reliable customer experience and operational excellence.”

Justin Meyer, Managing Director at Evolt Charging, said the collaboration demonstrated how “operators, hardware providers and service specialists align to deliver high-quality, reliable charging infrastructure at scale across the UK and Ireland.”

Meyer added that Evolt Charging’s “manufacturer-agnostic model gives operators the confidence of consistent service, compliance and driver support through a single trusted partner.”
