MFG EV Power has selected AMPECO to support the expansion of its ultra-rapid charging network across the United Kingdom.

The partnership currently covers more than 2,800 charge points across over 550 charging locations and is intended to support EV Power’s nationwide growth plans and operational management, the companies said.

EV Power is the electric vehicle charging division of Motor Fuel Group, which operates around 1,200 sites across United Kingdom. The business is also expanding through a partnership with Morrisons and plans to install ultra-rapid chargers at 500 locations by the end of 2030.

The AMPECO platform is designed to connect multi-vendor charging infrastructure through a single operational interface, allowing network operators to monitor and manage charging sites remotely.

“The EV Power brand stands for consistent, reliable, and consumer-first EV driver experience. To deliver that, we needed a partner built for growth who would understand our requirements and be able to deliver in time,” said Martin Symes, EV director at EV Power.

EV Power said its charging network is designed to provide full advertised charging power at each charging bay regardless of occupancy levels by securing grid capacity capable of supporting peak demand.

The company added that network reliability is monitored daily against internal performance targets.

AMPECO said its platform provides EV Power with centralized access to charging and session data, automated fault detection, remote charger management and regulatory compliance reporting under the UK’s Public Charge Point Regulations.

The platform also supports direct Open Charge Point Interface connections, allowing drivers using connected e-mobility service providers to access EV Power charging hubs.

“I looked at the release notes and was literally thinking about raising something in our next meeting, but it had already been released. AMPECO is always ahead of the curve,” said Omor Sany, technical operations manager at EV Power.

Stefan Ivanov, chief revenue officer at AMPECO, said the partnership was aimed at helping EV Power maintain operational consistency as the network expands.

“EV Power has set the standard for what ultra-rapid charging should deliver to UK drivers: consistent power output and reliability at every bay, every session,” Ivanov said.

AMPECO said EV Power plans to expand its network to 500 charging hubs and 3,000 ultra-rapid chargers across the UK by 2030.
