U.S. charging network operator Electrify America said it has installed a total of 500 high-speed electric vehicle chargers across 105 retail locations owned by property group Simon, marking a major expansion of a partnership that began in 2018.
The chargers are located at Simon shopping malls, premium outlets and mixed-use destinations across the United States, giving EV drivers access to charging at some of the country’s busiest retail centers. Simon owns more than 250 retail properties globally, including 114 shopping malls and 108 premium outlet centers.

Electrify America’s so-called “Hyper-Fast” chargers deliver charging power of up to 350 kilowatts, allowing compatible electric vehicles to recharge in about 20 minutes under optimal conditions. The stations also support the Plug & Charge standard, which enables automatic payment without the need for a mobile app or charging card.
One of the largest installations under the partnership is located at Simon’s Fashion Valley shopping center in San Diego, California, where Electrify America operates a 20-charger site designed to handle high traffic volumes.
“By placing Hyper-Fast charging at premier retail destinations, we’re making it easier for EV drivers to charge where life happens while supporting the transition to electric mobility,” said Anthony Lambkin, vice president of operations at Electrify America.
Simon said the charging network adds a new convenience layer for shoppers while supporting broader electrification goals. “Working with Electrify America allows us to provide visitors the convenience of Hyper-Fast EV charging in locations where they can shop, dine, and recharge in one visit,” said Daniel Segal, vice president of business development at Simon.
