Electric vehicle charging: Ideal time and charge percentage

Electric vehicles have started to have their own market and electric vehicle batteries are the key to power that must always be considered.

Many people choose electric cars because they don’t want to be too bothered by oil and injector problems in conventional cars. In addition, electric cars are considered more environmentally friendly than conventional cars that still use fossil fuels.

An electric car consists of various components and one of the main components in an electric car is the battery. In many electric cars, the average battery warranty is 10 years. However, improper use can result in reduced battery capacity, resulting in decreased performance. Therefore, as an electric car user, it is necessary to pay attention to battery maintenance.

According to the Hyundai website, it is stated that the most important thing to pay attention to when caring for the battery is when charging the battery is recommended when the position is below 20%. This is to prevent the battery from deteriorating faster.

Furthermore, the ideal time to charge the battery is once every two or three days. In order to keep the battery charge higher over time it is recommended not to do heavy acceleration for long periods of time. In addition, to maintain the quality of the battery, it is recommended to park the car in a shady place to reduce the lithium-ion battery from degrading faster when the temperature rises.

When charging an electric car battery, it is recommended not to charge it to 100% because it will accelerate the degradation of the battery. However, if you are going to travel long distances, filling up to 100% is highly recommended.
