DSV will deploy 10 battery-electric Windrose heavy-duty trucks on the Interstate 35 (I-35) freight corridor through a partnership with transport operator Allogic and charging infrastructure developer Greenspace E-Mobility.
The project marks the first commercial fleet deployment on Greenspace’s planned Electric Highway network, which aims to connect freight operations between the United States and Mexico.
Electric Freight Corridor Launch
The initial fleet will consist of Windrose E700 Class 8 electric trucks operating between Dallas, San Antonio and Laredo, before continuing to Monterrey in northern Mexico.

Under the partnership, Allogic will operate the vehicles on behalf of DSV, while Greenspace E-Mobility will provide the supporting charging infrastructure.
The deployment forms the first phase of Greenspace’s broader Electric Highway initiative, designed to electrify one of North America’s busiest freight routes.
Green Hubs Planned Across Texas
Greenspace plans to open four Texas-based Green Hubs by the fourth quarter of 2026.
The facilities will feature charging systems ranging from 400 kW to megawatt-level power and will incorporate on-site solar generation and battery energy storage.
According to Windrose, the current-generation E700 offers an operational driving range of more than 400 miles (644 kilometres), allowing the Dallas-to-Laredo route to be completed with a short charging stop in San Antonio.

The company said its next-generation E811 platform, currently under development, is expected to deliver a range exceeding 500 miles (805 kilometres), enabling the same route to be completed without recharging.
Cross-Border Expansion Planned
The partners plan to expand the Electric Highway network during 2027 by extending charging infrastructure into Monterrey and the Colombia–Nuevo León border crossing.
The second phase will include six additional Green Hubs and the deployment of 25 more Windrose electric trucks, creating what the companies describe as the first fully electric cross-border freight corridor between the United States and Mexico.
According to Windrose, the I-35 corridor through Laredo handles more than 20,000 trucks each day, making it one of the busiest logistics routes in the Western Hemisphere and a key target for freight electrification.
