Denza, the premium brand under BYD, has shared interior design sketches of its anticipated Z9 sedan, set to go on sale next month. The sketches, released on Weibo, provide an initial glimpse into the vehicle’s interior layout, highlighting a center screen oriented in landscape mode and an elongated dashboard display situated in front of the steering wheel.
Comfort features in the Z9’s rear seating include wide leg rests in two of the three rear seats, although it remains uncertain whether the final interior will match the depicted designs. Denza has already begun pre-sales for the Z9GT, another model in its Z lineup, with prices ranging from RMB 339,800 ($47,890) to RMB 419,800. The regular sedan version, the Z9, was briefly debuted alongside the Z9GT, with pre-sales initiated at the same price range, and the official sales and delivery slated for the fourth quarter of this year.
On October 24, Denza’s head of sales, Zhao Changjiang, mentioned on Weibo that the team is actively preparing for the Z9’s launch. “We will announce the launch date as soon as possible based on the progress of the preparation, which is expected to be next month, so stay tuned,” Zhao stated.
The Z9 entered the regulatory filing catalog in China on September 13, revealing its exterior dimensions and core specifications. The sedan measures 5,220 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and has a height of 1,500 mm (1,518 mm with specific options), featuring a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Like its counterpart, the Z9GT, the Z9 will utilize three electric motors with peak powers of 230 kW, 240 kW, and 240 kW, according to regulatory documents.
