DeCharge has entered a strategic partnership with global EV charging provider Wallbox to deploy a nationwide peer-to-peer electric vehicle charging network in the United States. The initiative integrates DeCharge’s decentralized software platform with Wallbox’s Pulsar Plus Level 2 chargers, enabling homeowners, small businesses and fleet operators to host publicly accessible charging points.
The collaboration centers on a “host-powered” model in which private charger owners contribute capacity to a distributed network rather than relying on centralized charging infrastructure. Through DeCharge’s browser-based portal, hosts can set pricing, manage access, track usage and receive real-time revenue settlements. The approach aims to lower capital expenditure requirements by distributing infrastructure deployment across individual participants.

Wallbox’s Pulsar Plus chargers will form the backbone of the network. The compact Level 2 unit delivers up to 48 amps (11.5 kW) of charging power and features a NEMA 4 enclosure for indoor and outdoor durability. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity enable seamless communication with DeCharge’s management system, supporting installations at residences, small commercial sites and fleet depots.
The partnership targets both residential and commercial applications, with a particular focus on last-mile logistics and light-duty fleet electrification. Small business parking lots and fleet depots can utilize the system to offset electricity costs while maintaining operational control through a flexible revenue-sharing model.

The peer-to-peer network is intended to address gaps in U.S. charging availability, especially in regions with limited public charging infrastructure. By incentivizing private charger owners to open their hardware to the public, DeCharge and Wallbox aim to expand the number of accessible charging ports without requiring major grid upgrades.
“This collaboration creates a reliable network that empowers communities to lead electrification,” said DeCharge CEO Mohan Kuldeep Ponnada. Wallbox Chief Business Officer Ignasi Alastuey added that the initiative “allows users to actively participate in the shift to electric mobility by sharing resources.”
