French sporting goods retailer Decathlon has expanded its electric bike portfolio in Europe with the launch of the Van Rysel E-GRVL AF Discover, a new electric gravel bike designed for both daily commuting and long-distance adventures.

Described by Decathlon as “the Swiss Army knife of electric bikes,” the E-GRVL AF Discover is equipped with a 250W brushless rear hub motor delivering 35 Nm of torque and pedal assistance up to 25 kph (16 mph).

Riders can choose between three modes — Eco, Tour, and Sport — to adjust performance according to terrain and riding style. A removable 360 Wh battery provides up to 100 km (60 miles) of assistance on a full charge, which takes approximately 4.5 hours.

The e-bike features a Shimano Cues 1×11 transmission, Shimano RS405 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors, and Vittoria Terreno T30 tires suited for mixed-surface riding. A 2-inch Ergo 920 TFT color display mounted on the handlebar shows speed, range, and assistance level, though it does not support Bluetooth connectivity.

Additional features include a 60 lux front headlight and integrated rear lighting, both powered directly by the battery, and handlebar buttons for quick adjustment of assistance levels.

Built on an aluminum frame with a mixed carbon and aluminum fork, the size M model weighs 17.7 kg (39 lbs). The Van Rysel E-GRVL AF Discover is now available in khaki color across several European markets, retailing for €2,199.99 in France and Spain and €2,299.99 in the Netherlands. Decathlon has not yet announced whether the model will be offered in the UK.
