Citroen has introduced a new extended-range version of its ë-C3 Aircross in Germany, featuring a 50 kWh battery that delivers up to 400 kilometres of WLTP range.
The battery upgrade adds approximately 100 kilometres of driving range compared to the standard model and is priced at €2,000 more when comparing the same trim level.
The ë-C3 Aircross Extended-Range continues to use the same 83 kW powertrain as the standard version, offering a top speed of 143 kilometres per hour and a towing capacity of 550 kilograms.
Citroen has not modified the vehicle’s bodywork, retaining its existing practicality and dimensions.
While Opel, Citroen’s Stellantis sibling, offers a similar configuration in the Frontera Electric Extended Range with a quoted 54 kWh battery, the capacity difference likely reflects gross versus usable energy values. Both models achieve comparable range figures.
The new ë-C3 Aircross Extended-Range starts at €30,690 in Germany and is available only in the “PLUS” trim. The standard model with the 44 kWh battery, providing 300 kilometres of range, remains available from €26,490 and is also offered in the lower-tier “YOU” trim. The €2,000 price gap applies when comparing both variants in the same “PLUS” specification.
