Fuel station operator Circle K has expanded its electric vehicle charging network in Germany with six new locations, adding a total of 43 fast-charging points and introducing charging infrastructure for electric trucks in the country for the first time.
Circle K, owned by Canada’s Alimentation Couche-Tard, took over the German petrol station network and fuel card business from TotalEnergies nearly two years ago. In December 2024, the company also assumed responsibility for operating the charging stations at its sites, excluding those being developed under TotalEnergies’ Deutschlandnetz programme.

With the latest additions, Circle K now operates EV charging infrastructure at 95 locations across Germany, comprising around 400 charging points. Four of the six new sites are located in Bavaria, the company said.
In Eckental, Circle K connected six high-power charging points for electric cars, each delivering up to 400 kilowatts, while Hohenlinden added eight charging points of the same capacity. In Illertissen, six new fast chargers were commissioned, two of which are designed for battery-electric trucks. The largest of the new Bavarian hubs is in Nordendorf, featuring 11 fast-charging points, including two for electric trucks.

Outside Bavaria, Circle K opened a new charging hub in Wittlich, in Rhineland-Palatinate, with four fast-charging points rated at up to 400 kW. The sixth new site is in Laucha, in Saxony-Anhalt, where eight charging points offering up to 175 kW have gone into operation, one of which is configured for electric trucks.
While Circle K has been developing charging infrastructure for electric trucks in Scandinavia for several years, the company said this marks its first rollout of dedicated e-truck charging facilities in Germany. The truck charging points are designed to be used without uncoupling the vehicle.
