Circle K has inaugurated its largest fast-charging site globally in Järna, Sweden, featuring 20 high-power charging (HPC) points for electric cars and six for electric trucks. The company also plans to open its first all-electric charging station in Sweden this spring.
The 30,000-square-meter site, located southwest of Stockholm, is described as a flagship station due to its strategic positioning. The EV charging area is covered with solar panels and equipped with ten Alpitronic Hyperchargers, each offering up to 400 kW of power.

Each charger supports two CCS connections and one CHAdeMO port, though only two can be used at a time, providing a total of 20 fast-charging points. A ‘drive-through’ setup enhances accessibility, though it remains limited for caravans.
Adjacent to this, three additional fast chargers, also supplied by Alpitronic, deliver up to 400 kW and feature two CCS ports each. While these are suited for electric trucks, Circle K has not specified whether they are exclusively reserved for heavy-duty vehicles.
The charging park was designed for an efficient and user-friendly experience, incorporating customer feedback. Features include clearly marked pedestrian crossings, illuminated areas, and a large convenience store with food and beverage options. Customers can either dine inside or order food for car-side delivery.

“We have thought of just about everything here, and with its strategic location, we see great potential,” said Jeremy Knights, CEO of Circle K Sverige AB.
While the Järna location provides both conventional fuel and electricity, the upcoming Circle K Gårda station will be the company’s first to cater exclusively to electric vehicles.
