Cadillac unveiled the Lyriq-V, a sportier variant of its Lyriq electric SUV, marking the first all-electric addition to its performance-focused V-Series lineup. The 459-kilowatt all-wheel-drive model will debut this quarter in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with a starting price of $79,990, General Motors’ luxury subsidiary announced on Wednesday.
Produced at GM’s Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, the Lyriq-V features a 102-kWh battery shared with the standard Lyriq, delivering an estimated range of 285 miles (459 km). Cadillac claims the vehicle accelerates from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.3 seconds, aided by a “Velocity Max” boost function that unlocks peak performance on demand.

The performance variant distinguishes itself with upgraded suspension, a lowered multi-link setup, and a faster steering ratio. Exterior enhancements include carbon-fiber accents, 22-inch wheels, and a black-painted roof, while the interior boasts a panoramic glass roof, a 33-inch cockpit display, and an augmented reality head-up display.
“V-Series captures the spirit of Cadillac, embodying our relentless pursuit of engineering excellence through our racing and production vehicles,” said John Roth, Global Cadillac Vice President. “LYRIQ-V takes this commitment a step further in the EV era, pushing our performance pedigree to new heights.”

The standard Lyriq, launched in March 2022, offers rear-wheel drive (253 kW) or all-wheel drive (388 kW). The V-Series model significantly outperforms these specs, generating 880 Nm of torque compared to the standard AWD version’s 610 Nm.
While Cadillac re-entered Europe in 2024 with the Lyriq’s AWD variant, the automaker did not confirm plans to introduce the Lyriq-V in the region. The company noted additional global markets for the high-performance SUV would be announced later.
