Cadillac’s Elevated Velocity electric concept has been named Best Concept Vehicle for 2026 by EyesOn Design, marking the second consecutive year a Cadillac concept has received the honor after the Opulent Velocity’s win in 2025.
The Elevated Velocity was selected by a jury of automotive designers and educators, with the award reflecting design innovation and overall vision rather than production readiness. Cadillac said the concept serves as a design study exploring the future direction of its electric and performance-focused vehicles.

The electric 2+2 crossover concept features a raised ride height, 24-inch wheels and gull-wing doors. Its proportions and long-hood profile draw on design cues from Cadillac’s current electric lineup, including the Cadillac Celestiq and the Cadillac Lyriq, while pushing toward a more performance-oriented aesthetic.
According to Cadillac, the Elevated Velocity follows its “Art of Exhilaration” design philosophy, with the name referencing both ride height and performance intent across varied driving conditions.

“The Elevated Velocity concept channels Cadillac’s V-Series legacy into an electric high-performance ultra-luxury 2+2 crossover,” said Dominic Najafi, executive director of design, Global Cadillac.
Inside, the concept emphasizes bespoke craftsmanship and materials, accessed through its gull-wing doors. Cadillac said the interior is intended to give designers freedom to experiment with future electric V-Series ideas.

Bryan Nesbitt, vice president of global design at General Motors, said the project reflects collaboration across Cadillac’s design teams as well as GM’s advanced design and fabrication studios.
Cadillac currently offers electric V-Series models such as the OPTIQ-V and LYRIQ-V, but the company has not indicated whether the Elevated Velocity concept will directly influence future production vehicles.
