Cadillac has revealed its Elevated Velocity concept, a luxury electric crossover that merges futuristic styling with off-road capability. Serving as a follow-up to the brand’s 2024 Opulent Velocity showcar, the new design study presents a vision for a sleek yet rugged electric vehicle capable of navigating both urban streets and desert terrain, with the option of autonomous or driver-controlled operation.
Riding on 24-inch wheels, the Elevated Velocity features a 2+2 seating layout and gullwing doors, with design cues that echo Cadillac’s Celestiq and Lyriq models but with more aggressive proportions.
A long hood and wide stance emphasize its performance-oriented character, while the cabin focuses on luxury and adaptability. The steering wheel and pedals can retract to create a lounge-like autonomous driving experience, blending advanced mobility technology with high-end craftsmanship.
The interior showcases an extensive use of red tones, with deep Morello Red Fine Nappa leather on multiple surfaces, complemented by Cerise fabric extending across the doors and dashboard. Garnet red boucle fabric accents the seating and trim, while black crystal 3D-printed door inlays draw inspiration from desert polo.
Functional features include a multi-stage air management system with dust filtration, humidity control, air purification, fragrance integration, and red light therapy aimed at enhancing passenger comfort during long journeys or extreme climates. A matching hand-crafted polo set, coordinated with the car’s Vapor Blue exterior, reinforces the design theme.
On the exterior, Cadillac has incorporated a dust-repelling vibration system intended to keep the bodywork clean after off-road excursions. The concept offers three user experience modes: Welcome Mode, which greets occupants with illuminated surfaces and automatically opening doors; Elevate Mode, which enables full autonomous driving with climate and health-related information displayed on screen; and Velocity Mode, which emphasizes manual driving with an augmented reality head-up display. Four drive modes—e-Velocity, Terra, Sand Vision, and Elements Defy—further adapt the vehicle for performance, off-road exploration, and challenging environments.
Cadillac says the Elevated Velocity concept offers a preview of design and technology elements that may influence its future electric SUVs and crossovers. The vehicle will be showcased at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in Carmel, California, on August 15, 2025.
