General Motors said its luxury brand Cadillac plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup and retail presence in South Korea, following the local launch of the all-electric Escalade IQ late last year.
GM Korea, the automaker’s South Korean subsidiary, said the brand is preparing to introduce additional battery-electric models during the current calendar year while also opening new Cadillac showrooms in major urban centers. The expansion is aimed at increasing brand visibility and customer access in a market where demand for premium electric vehicles is growing.

“Cadillac strengthened its electric vehicle lineup in Korea with the recent launch of the all-new Escalade IQ, and is considering introducing additional electric vehicle models in the country,” GM Korea said in a statement. The company added that new Cadillac showrooms are planned for Songpa and western Seoul, as well as Busan, in the first half of 2026.
Cadillac’s current electric offerings in South Korea include the Cadillac Lyriq and the full-size Cadillac Escalade IQ, which GM Korea described as a halo model for the brand. Future launches under consideration include the three-row Cadillac Vistiq and the compact Cadillac Optiq, aligning with Cadillac’s broader global EV rollout.

The company is also evaluating a phased introduction of high-performance electric models under its V-Series badge, including the Lyriq-V and Optiq-V. In addition, GM Korea said Cadillac is exploring the possibility of offering the ultra-luxury, hand-built Cadillac Celestiq to Korean customers on a bespoke order basis.
The planned expansion forms part of Cadillac’s global electrification strategy, which the brand hopes will be reinforced by its upcoming entry into Formula 1. Alongside its electric models, Cadillac continues to sell the gasoline-powered Escalade in South Korea.
