Denza, the premium brand under BYD, will officially launch its large six-seat N8L SUV on October 28, according to a Weibo post from Li Hui, the brand’s general manager.
Pre-sales for the N8L began on September 26, with two variants priced from RMB 319,800 ($44,890) and RMB 349,800. Positioned for the family vehicle segment, the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) emphasizes safety, comfort, and handling agility.

The N8L measures 5,200 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,820 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,075 mm. It can be considered a slightly more compact version of Denza’s flagship N9 SUV launched in March.
Powered by a 1,995 ml engine producing 152 kW and three electric motors — one front motor rated at 200 kW and two rear motors at 180 kW each — the N8L can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

It features BYD’s blade battery technology designed for PHEVs, delivering a CLTC-rated electric range of 230 km and a combined range of 1,300 km on a full tank and charge.
In line with other Chinese electric models, the N8L offers in-car amenities such as a refrigerator, rear-seat entertainment system, and integration with the DeepSeek AI large model. Denza’s current lineup includes the D9 MPV, Z9 sedan series, N9 SUV, and N7 SUV.
