BYD’s decision to debut the Shark in Mexico indicates a focus on international markets, as pickup trucks face restrictions in China, where they are classified as light trucks.

A spokesperson from BYD stated, “We are excited to introduce the BYD Shark to the world, starting with its debut in Mexico. This marks a significant milestone for BYD as we expand our product offerings globally.”

The global debut of the BYD Shark will take place in Mexico at 10:30 am local time on May 15, 2024.
