BYD has introduced the ATTO 3 EVO for European markets, bringing an 800-volt electrical architecture, higher charging performance and an available all-wheel-drive configuration to its compact electric SUV lineup.
The updated model transitions to BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 and is expected to begin deliveries in spring 2026.
The ATTO 3 EVO is available in two trims: rear-wheel-drive Design and all-wheel-drive Excellence. Both variants use a 74.8 kWh Blade Battery with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry and Cell-to-Body (CTB) integration, which forms part of the vehicle’s structural platform.

The 800V system enables DC fast charging at up to 220 kW, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 25 minutes. AC charging supports 11 kW three-phase, with a full charge achievable in up to eight hours.
The Design trim uses a single permanent magnet synchronous motor mounted at the rear, delivering 313 PS (230 kW) and 380 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0–62 mph in 5.5 seconds and offers a WLTP combined range of up to 317 miles, with a city range of 441 miles.
The Excellence trim adds an AC asynchronous motor at the front, providing all-wheel drive and a combined output of 449 PS (330 kW) and 560 Nm. It reaches 0–62 mph in 3.9 seconds and offers a WLTP combined range of 292 miles.
Both versions provide a braked towing capacity of 1,500 kg and feature vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality with up to 3 kW of external power output.
Exterior dimensions remain unchanged at 4,455 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width and 1,615 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. Visual updates include revised bumpers, new 18-inch alloy wheels, slimmer side skirts and a redesigned roof spoiler.
Cargo capacity increases to 490 litres with the rear seats upright, expanding to 1,360 litres when folded. A newly added 101-litre front trunk provides additional storage.

Inside, a column-mounted gear selector replaces the traditional center-console shifter, freeing up cabin space. The driver display measures 8.8 inches, while the central infotainment screen spans 15.6 inches.
The infotainment system integrates Google Maps, Google Play Store and Google Assistant, along with an AI-enhanced voice assistant using a cloud-based large language model. Additional features include NFC vehicle access, wireless smartphone charging with cooling, four USB-C ports and ambient lighting.
Safety systems include seven airbags and a suite of driver-assistance features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Assist, Front and Rear Collision Warning, Cross Traffic Alert and Traffic Sign Recognition.

The Excellence trim adds a head-up display, heated rear seats and a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, while the Design trim includes a heat pump and electrically adjustable heated front seats as standard.
The launch underscores BYD’s push to strengthen its presence in Europe with higher-performance variants and faster-charging capabilities as competition intensifies in the region’s electric SUV segment.
