BYD said its vehicles equipped with the company’s “God’s Eye” intelligent driving technology have surpassed 2 million cumulative sales as of the end of October, marking a significant expansion of its assisted-driving portfolio.
In October, the automaker sold 316,759 units fitted with advanced driver-assistance systems, including BYD’s God’s Eye and Huawei’s Qiankun ADS. These models accounted for 72.5% of BYD’s monthly passenger NEV sales, which totaled 436,856 units. The company also reported that its assisted-driving fleet now generates more than 130 million kilometers of data every day.

BYD introduced the God’s Eye system earlier this year, offering multiple tiers aimed at different market segments. The top-spec God’s Eye A uses the DiPilot 600 platform with three LiDAR sensors and is reserved for vehicles under the ultra-premium Yangwang brand.
God’s Eye B, based on the DiPilot 300 platform, uses one or two LiDAR sensors and appears in higher-end BYD models as well as those under the Denza and Fang Cheng Bao brands. The God’s Eye C version, powered by the DiPilot 100 visual-only system, is designed for BYD’s more affordable product lines.

Alongside its in-house systems, BYD is also integrating Huawei’s Qiankun ADS in select Fang Cheng Bao models. The Bao 8 SUV, launched in November 2024, became the first BYD Group model to feature Huawei’s system. The brand has since expanded its offerings, including a long-range version of the Bao 5 SUV, with its top variants equipped with the Qiankun ADS 4 smart-driving platform.
BYD’s expanding lineup of intelligent driving technologies underscores the company’s strategy to strengthen its leadership in China’s rapidly growing smart EV segment, supported by high-volume data collection and a broad deployment of differentiated driver-assistance systems across its brands.
