BYD has released additional images of its upcoming Qin Max sedan, providing a more complete look at the vehicle’s exterior ahead of its market launch.
The images were shared on Weibo by Lu Tian, general manager of BYD’s Dynasty lineup sales division, and include a version finished in a light pink exterior color. The company has not yet announced a launch date or pricing for the model.
New Flagship for the Qin Lineup
BYD introduced the Qin Max last week, describing it as a midsize sedan aimed at younger buyers.

According to Lu, the model will become the flagship of the Qin family, positioned above the Qin L.
The Qin lineup currently consists of the Qin Plus and Qin L, both of which are available in battery-electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The addition of the Qin Max will expand the range to three models.
Supports Latest Charging Technology
BYD said the battery-electric Qin Max will support its latest flash charging technology.
The company’s second-generation Super e-Platform, introduced earlier this year, is capable of delivering charging power of up to 1,500 kW through a single connector.
According to BYD, vehicles equipped with its second-generation Blade Battery can be charged from 10% to 97% in approximately nine minutes using the new charging system.
Regulatory Filings Reveal Specifications
The Qin Max has previously appeared in filings published by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), showing both battery-electric and plug-in hybrid versions.
According to the filings, the sedan measures 4,866 mm long, 1,880 mm wide and 1,495 mm high, with a 2,820 mm wheelbase.
The battery-electric version will be offered with electric motors producing either 240 kW or 120 kW, while the plug-in hybrid model combines a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine rated at 74 kW with an electric motor producing up to 175 kW.
The regulatory documents also indicate that the battery-electric model may carry either “Da Qin” or “Qin Ultra” badging on the rear of the vehicle.
BYD has not disclosed additional technical specifications or confirmed when the Qin Max will officially enter the market.
