BYD, the renowned Chinese automaker, has officially unveiled its latest Tang family models in the Chinese market. This follows the commencement of pre-sales earlier this month at the prestigious Chengdu auto show. The new Tang lineup continues to offer both Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) versions, catering to a diverse range of consumer preferences.

In the PHEV category, customers can choose between the more fuel-economy-focused DM-i version and the performance-oriented DM-p version. This strategic move allows BYD to address the varying demands of the rapidly growing Chinese electric vehicle market.

The Tang DM-i variant is available in a single version with an attractive starting price of RMB 249,800, which aligns with its pre-sale starting price of RMB 250,000.

For those seeking higher performance, the Tang DM-p offers three variants with starting prices of RMB 269,800, RMB 289,800, and RMB 309,800, respectively. Comparatively, these prices represent a reduction of RMB 200 from their initial pre-sale prices.

To sweeten the deal for potential buyers, BYD is offering additional benefits to customers who order the new Tang family models. These incentives include a RMB 4,000 trade-in subsidy and complimentary home chargers. Such initiatives are expected to further entice consumers in the competitive electric vehicle market.

BYD’s launch of the new Tang family models, with their lower starting prices and enticing incentives, reflects the company’s commitment to providing high-quality electric vehicles while remaining competitive in the ever-evolving automotive landscape. As electric vehicle adoption continues to surge in China, BYD’s strategic pricing and attractive offerings are poised to make a significant impact in the market.
