BYD Group will present eight vehicle debuts across its DENZA, YANGWANG, and BYD brands at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, highlighting the company’s growing presence in the premium, luxury, and performance vehicle segments.

The Chinese automaker said the vehicles will be displayed on a dedicated three-level exhibition stand, where several models will make either their global, European, or UK debut.

DENZA to Lead Product Showcase

DENZA will headline the presentation with the world premiere of the all-electric DENZA Z Coupe, a performance-oriented model based on the design language first introduced by the DENZA Z Spider concept.

The company said the coupe features a three-motor electric powertrain and a 2+2 seating configuration.

Alongside the coupe, DENZA will also unveil the track-focused DENZA Z Racing, which incorporates additional aerodynamic enhancements and lightweight components.

The event will also mark the European debut of the BAO 5 SUV, a model that combines electric propulsion with a turbocharged gasoline engine through BYD’s dual-mode off-road technology.

UK Launch for DENZA Brand

Goodwood will serve as the official UK launch platform for the DENZA brand.

Among the vehicles on display will be the Z9 GT and the D9 DM-i multi-purpose vehicle, which are expected to be introduced to the British market.

The D9 DM-i combines plug-in hybrid technology with a premium interior focused on passenger comfort and long-distance travel.

BYD Expands Product Portfolio

BYD will also showcase the DOLPHIN G DM-i, which recently made its global debut in Europe.

The compact plug-in hybrid model is positioned in the urban vehicle segment and is designed to offer both electric driving capability and extended range through its hybrid powertrain.

The company will additionally present the SHARK pickup truck in Europe for the first time.

The plug-in hybrid pickup combines electric motors with an internal combustion engine and targets both commercial and recreational users.

YANGWANG Brings Performance and Luxury Models

Luxury brand YANGWANG will display several flagship vehicles, including the U9 Xtreme performance model.

The vehicle’s appearance marks its first public display in the United Kingdom and follows previous demonstrations in Europe.

The lineup will also include the U7 luxury sedan and the U8L sport utility vehicle, showcasing the brand’s focus on high-performance and premium electric mobility.

Technology and Brand Experience

In addition to vehicle displays, BYD Group’s exhibition area will feature technology demonstrations, interactive experiences, and showcases highlighting the company’s developments in electrification, intelligent driving systems, and vehicle engineering.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed has become an increasingly important platform for global automakers introducing new electric vehicle technologies and expanding their presence in European markets.

BYD’s participation reflects its broader strategy to strengthen its position across multiple vehicle segments while increasing brand visibility in the UK and across Europe.
