BYD Expands European Dealer Network to Introduce New Energy Passenger Cars

BYD has appointed two new dealer partners in Europe to support the introduction of its passenger cars. Motor Distributors Ltd (MDL) has been appointed as a National Dealer Partner for the Republic of Ireland, while RSA, an existing dealer partner in Norway, has expanded its coverage to Finland and Iceland. The announcement was made following a signing ceremony at BYD Global Headquarters, coinciding with the e-Journey Pioneer Dealer Tour, an event hosted by BYD to welcome European dealers to its headquarters in Shenzhen, China.

BYD, a global leader in new energy vehicles and pioneering battery technology, is committed to establishing strategic partnerships and collaborations to ensure high levels of customer service in Europe. The addition of MDL and RSA to BYD’s dealer network underscores the automaker’s commitment to this approach.

The European launch range comprises three left-hand drive models, including the BYD ATTO 3 C-Segment SUV, the BYD TANG SUV, and the premium BYD HAN executive saloon. All models boast modern aesthetics, exceptional safety, intelligence, and efficiency. They also come equipped with BYD’s revolutionary Blade Battery, which has been rigorously tested to provide outstanding levels of safety and durability.

Globally, BYD has sold over 3.5 million new energy passenger cars, reinforcing the brand’s credentials as it enters new markets in Europe. The automaker now has a presence in over 70 countries and over 400 cities, saving the equivalent of 29 million tonnes in carbon emissions as of February 2023.

Michael Shu, General Manager and Managing Director of BYD Europe and International Cooperation Division, emphasized the importance of local partnerships in ensuring customer satisfaction and a high-quality experience. He expressed delight in partnering with MDL and RSA, stating that BYD’s appealing range of technologically advanced eco-friendly passenger cars would soon be available to consumers in Ireland, Finland, and Iceland.
