German car manufacturer, BMW recently launched its smallest electric SUV based on the X1, namely the BMW iX1 xDrive30.
The BMW iX1 adds to the electric car line-up after the i7 was launched last month. In appearance, this electric SUV is no different from the X1 on which it is based. With a new bumper with blue accents on the side of the bumper and the kidney grille with blue accents.
In the main light, the shape is flat with Adaptive LED Projector technology which is paired with LED DRL. On the sides, there are not many changes, there are only blue accents on the side skirts. At the rear, the only difference is the use of blue accents that continue on the sides of the rear bumper.
Entering the interior, the atmosphere is different with the brown color that wraps the dashboard, door panels to the seats. In the center is a large head unit with a 10.7-inch curved screen and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. This head unit is equipped with the latest BMW iDrive 8 system which can be connected to a smartphone via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Talking about performance, this SUV is equipped with four electric motors on each wheel with a power output of up to 313 hp and 494 Nm of torque. According to test results, this SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km in 5.7 seconds. The electric motor is powered by a 64.7 kWh battery pack that can travel 413 to 438 km on a single charge.
The Bavarian manufacturer offers a 130 kW DC charging package that can charge up to 70 percent in just 29 minutes. However, under standard conditions, prospective buyers will get an AC charger in one to three phases with a power of up to 22 kW.
Talking about the variant, it will only be available in one trim, namely the iX1 xDrive30 for the United States market. About the price, unfortunately the manufacturer has not mentioned this, friend. However, this SUV will go on sale from the end of 2022.
