Bentley launched the Bentley Mulliner Batur, which was inspired by the beauty of Lake Batur covering an area of 16 km2 in Kintamani, Bali.
The Bentley Batur is a sleek hard top coupe with a new and minimalistic design language that will define Bentley’s style in future electric cars.
The production of the latest Bentley Mulliner Batur car is limited to 18 units, each unit will be designed by the owner so that it can determine the color and finish of almost every Batur surface.
On the exterior there is a traditional Mulliner color palette as well as fully bespoke options. There are even hand-painted graphics. Buyers of this limited edition car can also choose between light, dark, satin, gloss, or titanium brightwork exteriors.
“Once the customer has designed their ideal vehicle, it will be handcrafted over several months by Mulliner. If all goes to plan, the first deliveries will occur in mid-2023,” Bentley said in a press release quoted today, Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
The Bentley Batur is the latest coachbuilt vehicle made by Mulliner. The engine is as powerful as the latest and greatest incarnation of the Bentley W12. The power output is about 740PS. For the driver, it’s a thrilling car that even surpasses the extreme performance of the Bentley Bacalar sports car.
Equipped with Continental GT Speed digital chassis technology, the first Bentley Mulliner Batur car built will become an engineering prototype, named the Car Zero, according to the Mulliner standard bus construction convention. The Zero car will be tested on the track to get Batur’s driving characteristics.
According to Bentley, the launch of the Batur car is an important moment for both Mulliner and Bentley. The Bentley Mulliner Batur reflects the future of Bentley’s design vision that offers a sleeker, more minimal and more focused interpretation of automotive luxury.
