Avatr Technology, the electric vehicle brand backed by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has begun pre-sales for its latest model, the Avatr 06 sedan, ahead of its official launch next month.
The mid-size sedan will be available in five variants—three battery electric vehicle (BEV) options and two extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) options—with pre-sale prices starting at RMB 215,900 ($29,720). The Avatr 06, measuring 4,855 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,450 mm in height, features a wheelbase of 2,940 mm.

The BEV variant is built on an 800-volt high-voltage platform and offers a CLTC range of up to 650 kilometers. It comes in single-motor and dual-motor configurations, with the rear-wheel-drive single-motor version delivering 252 kW of peak power, while the dual-motor version adds a front motor with 188 kW of peak power. The EREV version is powered by a 1.5 T engine producing 115 kW, alongside a drive motor generating 231 kW. It offers an electric-only range of up to 240 km.
The Avatr 06 will feature Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 smart driving system, equipped with 192-channel LiDAR for advanced driver assistance. Customers who place a RMB 2,000 deposit will receive incentives such as a cash discount and a complimentary sports kit.

Avatr initially focused on BEV models but has expanded into EREVs to address range anxiety concerns. The company introduced its “Kunlun” extended-range system in August 2024 with the Avatr 07 SUV. The Avatr 06 follows the Avatr 11 and Avatr 12 models, with the updated Avatr 11 becoming the brand’s second model to offer both BEV and EREV variants.
