Zero Motorcycles, an electric motorcycle manufacturer from the United States will launch a new electric motorcycle for the adventure segment. According to a Motorcycle.com report, Zero Motorcycles has submitted an additional VIN application in late 2021 designating the DSR/X as the 2023 model. The document shows the new brand and type nomenclature with the SDS platform branching out into the FST (Street) and FSTX (Adventure) segments. The new Zero Motorcycles model uses a Z-Force 14.4 and 15.3 battery configuration. Saudi Arabia is projected to build three electric vehicle factories in the near future. This was revealed by Saudi Arabian Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih at the 2022 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday (25/5/2022). The first electric vehicle factory refers to the Lucid electric vehicle plant set up in the King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) near the main Red Sea trading port. CATL has just announced that it will provide batteries to European electric bus maker Solaris as it transitions to sustainable urban mobility in Europe. The battery that will be used by the Solaris electric bus is a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that uses CTP (cell to pack) technology. Mercedes-Benz has received orders for 450 eVito electric vans from two of its customers in the UK and Switzerland. Northgate Vehicle Hire, UK-based vehicle rental company Northgate Vehicle Hire, has ordered 350 eVito electric vans. Meanwhile Swiss parcel service Quickpac placed an order for 150 eVito electric vans for their fleet. Northgate will be the first rental company to offer the Mercedes eVito to its customers in the UK. As part of their electrification plan, US food delivery company Sysco has agreed to purchase 800 Freightliner eCascadia electric trucks from Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) The first units of eCascadia will arrive at the Sysco’s Riverside, California location later this year.
