Mercedes-Benz has received orders for 450 eVito electric vans from two of its customers in the UK and Switzerland. Northgate Vehicle Hire, UK-based vehicle rental company Northgate Vehicle Hire, has ordered 350 eVito electric vans.

Meanwhile Swiss parcel service Quickpac placed an order for 150 eVito electric vans for their fleet. Northgate will be the first rental company to offer the Mercedes eVito to its customers in the UK.

Northgate already offers the Volkswagen Abt E-Transporter, Peugeot e-Expert and Mercedes-Benz eSprinter. With the addition of eVito to its fleet, Northgate is offering its UK customers another electric transporter option.

The Mercedes-Benz eVito ordered by Quickpac will complement its fleet of 174 Renault Kangoo Z.E. The Mercedes-Benz eVito will be distributed among Quickpac depots in Dietikon, Hägendorf, St. Gallen and Winterthur, and Bern. Quickpac has been shipping packages with electric vehicles since 2019.

The Mercedes-Benz eVito to be used comes with a larger battery that will be launched in December 2021. The battery has a capacity of 60 kWh (net, 66 kWh gross) and is said to offer a range of up to 314 kilometers.
