BYD has opened China’s first all-terrain circuit dedicated to electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, a multi-zone complex in Zhengzhou designed to demonstrate the capabilities of its new energy vehicles (NEVs). Chinese electric vehicle maker Leapmotor, backed by Stellantis, has partnered with German vehicle customisation firm Irmscher to produce a limited-edition high-performance version of its C10 SUV. BYD has introduced its Yuan Up compact electric SUV in Hong Kong, where it is marketed under the name Atto 2, the company said on Wednesday. Nio will showcase its all-new third-generation ES8 SUV on August 21 at Nio Day 2025, updating its first mass-produced model with new dimensions, technology, and battery capacity. More than one million vehicles in China are now equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun smart driving system, the company said on Tuesday, marking a milestone for its automotive technology business.
