Chinese regulators have approved reserve reports submitted by CATL and Gotion High-tech for lithium resources in Yichun, Jiangxi, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday. Chinese electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) developer Ehang said it will unveil its new VT35 aircraft on October 13, expanding its product portfolio as it pushes deeper into urban air mobility. The VT35, a long-range lift-and-cruise passenger model, will be introduced two years after Ehang’s flagship EH216-S received its Type Certificate. Chinese technology group Xiaomi has officially opened its first overseas research and development centre for electric vehicles in Munich as it prepares to enter the European car market in 2027, the company confirmed.
