South Korea’s Hyundai Motor plans to build a hydrogen fuel cell production facility at its existing plant in Ulsan, with construction set to begin this year and production expected to commence in 2028, according to local media reports. REGENT, a U.S.-based startup developing electric seagliders, has launched the first full-scale prototype of its all-electric maritime aircraft, marking a key milestone in the technology’s development. The vehicle, named Paladin, conducted its initial on-water tests this week at Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. Norway has signed its first formal agreement for electric aircraft demonstration flights, with Bristow Norway set to operate the ALIA CX300 from Beta Technologies starting in the third quarter of 2025. Ballard Power Systems has signed an agreement to supply Egyptian bus manufacturer Manufacturing Commercial Vehicles (MCV) with 50 FCmove-HD+ fuel cell modules for delivery in 2025 and 2026, the Canadian company said. General Motors’ Cadillac has introduced the 2026 Escalade IQL, a lengthened version of its all-electric Escalade IQ luxury SUV, with additional space dedicated to third-row passengers and cargo rather than an extended wheelbase. Unlike conventional long-wheelbase variants, which typically increase legroom for second-row occupants, the Escalade IQL retains the same 136.2-inch wheelbase as the Escalade IQ.
