Electric vehicle maker Rivian is rolling out a series of incentives aimed at boosting sales after a difficult start to 2025. Trevor Milton, the founder and former executive chairman of Nikola Corp, is seeking to purchase the electric truck maker’s assets following its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, court documents show. Croatian electric hypercar manufacturer Rimac has submitted a preliminary offer to acquire the remaining 45% stake in its joint venture with Bugatti, currently held by Volkswagen subsidiary Porsche, according to a report by Bloomberg citing sources familiar with the matter. The City of Oakland has approved the installation of 244 Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) chargers at eight sites across the city by the end of the year, as part of a state-funded initiative to expand clean transportation infrastructure.
