Various information related to Apple’s electric car project has so far been tightly closed by the company.

But a recent report revealed that Apple staff were recently found to have traveled to South Korea to discuss battery manufacturing deals with a range of local suppliers.

Apple apparently wants South Korean suppliers to be able to specifically know all the process of developing electric car batteries.

Thus, as quoted from Autoevolution, the company will be able to develop what it needs independently.

In other words, Apple wants complete control over the manufacture of battery packs that will be used in the Apple Car.

In order to pass the desired business strategy, the company has submitted a proposal to one of the suppliers, as Apple wants to buy a stake in the supplier in an effort to increase its production capacity.

The tech giant believes that this is one of the most efficient ways to ensure sufficient production power for the Apple Car. While at the same time getting tighter control over the manufacturing process.

On the other hand, it is still unknown whether the Korean supplier decides to accept Apple’s offer or not, but at this point, the Cupertino-based iPhone company is more aggressive in its efforts to secure supply deals for Apple Cars.
