Ayala Corporation’s automotive arm ACMobility said it will roll out more than 100 new direct current (DC) charging points across the Philippines in partnership with Shell, expanding the country’s electric vehicle infrastructure.
The company will use Shell’s nationwide service station network for the first phase of deployment, installing DC fast chargers with outputs ranging from 60 to 120 kW at 50 outlets. Twenty Shell stations are scheduled to be equipped in the fourth quarter of 2025, with the remaining 30 to follow in 2026.
“ACMobility is pleased to welcome Shell as a partner in delivering the Philippine EV Spine Network,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility. Jolo Valdez, Head of Non-Fuel Retail and E-Mobility for Shell Mobility, added: “Shell shares ACMobility’s vision of advancing sustainable mobility in the Philippines.”
The first batch of installations will span the country’s three main regions—Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Customers will be able to locate chargers, track charging status and make payments through ACMobility’s Evro mobile app.
Shell currently has limited presence in the Philippine EV charging market, with 180 kW DC fast chargers and 22 kW AC chargers at two service stations, and additional 22 kW AC chargers at eight mall and destination sites.
By contrast, ACMobility operates 239 charging points across 103 locations, according to Ayala’s second-quarter 2025 financial report. In May, the company deployed the country’s fastest chargers, with capacities of up to 480 kW, and has set a target of more than 2,500 charging points in the future.
