Lamborghini plans to produce its first electric car in 2024. Where, Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann leaked a little information regarding his first electric vehicle.
“Electrification is one of our goals. Although this is a new segment for us, it is likely that the prospective electric car will be a vehicle with a four-passenger capacity with a higher ground clearance,” said Winkelman.
According to him, the prospective electric car will be more versatile than the Lamborghini Urus. However, everything is still in the development stage.

“So far no clear decision has been taken, and therefore it is too early to discuss this in depth. If everything goes according to plan, the EV project will “kick-off” later in 2022 after the initial concept is approved,” he explained.
Lamborghini has the option to choose which components to bespoke and which to share with other brands from the VW Group in terms of platform, electric motor and battery technology.
In any case, Lamborghini’s electric crossover will likely get a dual electric motor setup that offers high power output and all-wheel drive for performance rivaling supercars, combined with the latest battery technology for a longer driving range.

According to Winkelmann’s comments, the first fully electric model from Sant Agata is expected to arrive in 2027 or 2028. Until then, Lamborghini already offers a lineup of plug-in hybrid models, including the facelifted Lamborghini Urus.
