Swedish electric vehicle (EV) maker Polestar has partnered with Norwegian charging infrastructure manufacturer Zaptec to provide home charging solutions to its European customers.
The collaboration brings the Zaptec Go wallbox, along with installation and support services, to Polestar customers in Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, with plans to expand to other countries in the future.

Polestar has highlighted that the Zaptec Go wallbox is compatible with all vehicles in its lineup, including the upcoming Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 models, set for their first European customer deliveries this summer. With a charging capacity of up to 22 kW, the Zaptec Go promises a fast and reliable home charging experience, meeting the needs of Polestar’s expanding customer base.
Moreover, the partnership between Polestar and Zaptec extends beyond home charging solutions. It includes a strategic collaboration for future vehicle-to-grid (V2G) and bidirectional charging solutions. Lutz Stiegler, CTO of Polestar, expressed the significance of this partnership, stating, “Together with Zaptec, we will also continue developments on innovative charging tech to deliver features like smart charging, bidirectional charging, and vehicle-to-grid to our customers in the future.”

Kurt Østrem, CEO of Zaptec, shared his excitement about the partnership, particularly regarding the potential for vehicle-to-grid technology in Europe.
