Dacia has revealed a significantly refreshed version of its Spring model, aiming to modernize the affordable urban EV and make it more competitive in the market. The 2024 Dacia Spring adopts a new design language inspired by the popular Duster SUV, along with improvements to its interior and features.

The exterior of the Spring has been updated with styling cues from the Duster, including a new grille and LED headlights, as well as SUV-style elements like the skid plate and bumper intakes. The rear of the vehicle has also been redesigned with modern LED lights and additional plastic cladding on the bumper.

Inside, the Spring features a redesigned dashboard with a more modern look. The top-of-the-line Extreme trim comes with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment display, while entry-level models will have a smartphone holder instead. The interior has been redesigned to be more in line with the rest of the Dacia lineup, with new climate vents, center console, and dashboard-mounted tray.

The Spring also comes equipped with the YouClip accessory mounting system, allowing owners to customize the interior. Safety features include the basic ADAS package required by EU regulations, as well as a “My Safety” button for enabling or disabling them. The vehicle also features a 35-liter frunk and slightly increased boot space.

Under the hood, the Spring retains its previous electric motor options, producing either 44 hp or 64 hp, and a 26.8 kWh battery pack. The vehicle has a WLTP range of over 220 km and supports bi-directional charging, allowing the battery to be used to power electric devices.

The new Spring will continue to be manufactured in China.

The main competitors of the 2024 Dacia Spring include the Citroen e-C3, the upcoming Fiat Panda, and future urban EVs like the Renault Twingo and the VW ID.1.
