Traditionally, pertinent information regarding energy usage has been readily available through the vehicle’s infotainment system and the dedicated Tesla app. However, the installation of these standalone displays seems to be a proactive response to new regulatory requirements. The Bureau of Standards, Inspection and Quarantine of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan has mandated certain standards for EV charging stations, including the presence of certified legal measuring instruments. Notably, the display of energy consumption values is required, with accuracy demanded down to the third decimal place.

At least three Supercharging sites have been confirmed to feature these new displays: Taoyuan Qingpu, Zhengda Public Enterprise Center, and Tainan Yongkang Aimai.
