Fisker Inc. has opened the configuration tool for its Ocean all-electric SUV, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards delivering sustainable, luxurious vehicles to customers around the world. The Ocean comes in three variants: Sport, Ultra, and Extreme, with prices starting at £35,970 in the UK. The Ultra and Extreme versions sell from £54,265 and £63,070, respectively. In continental Europe, the Ultra variant is available from €54,322 in Germany, while the Extreme version starts at €67,272. Fisker also offers a launch edition, the Fisker Ocean One, which is available from £60,880 in the UK and from €67,272 in continental Europe.
The Fisker Ocean boasts the longest range of any all-electric SUV sold in Europe to date, exceeding the company’s previous estimates of 390 miles (628 kilometers). The smallest variant has a WTLP range of 440 kilometers, while the Ultra and Extreme variants have a WLTP range of 610 and 707 kilometers, respectively. Henrik Fisker, the CEO of Fisker, said in a statement, “This achievement is a major milestone for everyone at Fisker, and we are delighted the range exceeds our initial calculations.”

The Extreme version of the Fisker Ocean has a unique feature: solar panels on the roof, known as “Solar Sky.” According to Fisker, the panels can generate enough energy for up to 2,400 kilometers per year, or even up to 3,200 kilometers of range under ideal conditions. The Ocean also features bidirectional charging capabilities, allowing it to supply energy back to the grid during power outages caused by bad weather, a feature the company sees as highly valuable.
Fisker expects European homologation approval by the authorities by 28 April 2023, with deliveries starting thereafter. The first Fisker Centres will open in Vienna and Copenhagen on 11 April, and more locations across Europe and the US will follow throughout 2023.
Production of the Fisker Ocean began in November 2022 at the contract manufacturer Magna in Graz, with only 54 units built by the end of April. However, Fisker plans to manufacture 300 units in the first quarter of 2023 and 8,000 in the second quarter. In total, the carmaker aims to build 42,400 units this year.
The Fisker Ocean will launch in 13 countries this year, starting with the US, Canada, Austria, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and France, followed by the UK (right-hand drive), Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, and India (also right-hand drive) in 2023. Additional countries, including China, are expected to follow in 2024.
