A Taiwan-based technology company, Phihong, revealed that its company invented an electric car charging innovation in a short time in vehicles developed by its subsidiary Zerova.
Phihong said, this innovation was named the Four Gun Charger which has tested charging four vehicles at once with one device in 10 minutes.
Launched from Autoevolution, the Four Gun Charger from Zerova Technologies can also be a solution for electric commercial vehicles such as trucks and buses. This innovation makes it possible to charge the battery for a distance of 160 km in just under 10 minutes.
This technology can be applied to the main charging standards CCS-1, CCS-2, CHAdeMO, and GB. Four Gun Charger could be more compact and make this charger can be installed anywhere.
The charger comes with a five meter long cable to help with accessibility for use in all vehicles. In addition there is a digital screen to monitor the charging process.
“The availability of charging infrastructure will be a key catalyst for the wider use of electric vehicles,” said Patrik Ott, VP of Business Development at Zerova.
“With the US and EU targets to produce 500,000 and 3 million generic chargers respectively by 2030. We are launching this as a future charging solution that enables organizations to be better and faster at launching such infrastructure.”
Previously, the fastest charging technology for electric vehicles came from Switzerland with a technology called Terra 360. This tool is said to be able to charge for 15 minutes to full.
