Geely Auto’s E2 (EX2) has surpassed one million units in cumulative global sales, reaching the milestone in October 2026, two years after its launch on 9 October 2024. The model has expanded beyond its domestic market and is now available in more than 30 countries and regions.
According to the automaker, the E2 (EX2) recorded several sales milestones during its first two years, including 10,000 units within 16 days, 200,000 units after slightly more than 200 days and 600,000 units by day 536. Cumulative sales reached 800,000 units in July 2026 before passing one million in early October.
Sales Performance in China and Overseas Markets
Geely reported sales of 465,775 E2 (EX2) units in 2025. Citing IHS Markit data, the company said the model was the world’s best-selling car in the A and B segments and China’s best-selling vehicle across all segments that year.
The model has also entered several international markets. Geely said it was Australia’s best-selling passenger car during its launch month and ranked first in Jordan’s battery-electric vehicle market for three consecutive months. In Mexico, it held a top-two position in the BEV rankings in August and September 2026, based on local industry data.
As of October 2026, the E2 (EX2) was available in more than 30 markets across Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.
Vehicle Specifications and Safety Equipment
The E2 (EX2) is designed as a compact electric car for urban use, with a focus on passenger capacity, manoeuvrability and onboard technology.
In September 2026, the model received five-star ratings under both the 2026 Euro NCAP and 2026 ANCAP testing protocols. Geely said it was among the first small cars to achieve ratings under both programmes. Its safety equipment includes a reinforced body structure, seven airbags and the company’s Battery Safety System.
The vehicle uses a rear-wheel-drive layout and multi-link rear suspension. It has a stated turning radius of 4.95 metres, intended to support manoeuvrability in urban environments.

An integrated 11-in-1 electric drive unit helps optimise vehicle packaging, allowing for a five-seat cabin, a 70-litre front trunk and flexible cargo space. The model also includes the Flyme Auto smart cockpit and a 540-degree Transparent Chassis system.
Further International Market Expansion
The one-million-unit sales milestone comes as Geely continues to expand the E2 (EX2) into additional international markets. Its availability across more than 30 markets reflects the company’s efforts to increase its presence in the global compact electric vehicle segment.
