Xiaomi Auto delivered more than 50,000 vehicles in October, recording its highest monthly total of 2026 and returning to year-on-year growth after two consecutive months of declining deliveries.
The electric vehicle subsidiary of Xiaomi announced the figure on Sunday but did not disclose an exact total or provide a breakdown across its SU7 sedan, YU7 SUV and Sky Nomad series.
October marked the second time Xiaomi Auto’s monthly deliveries have exceeded 50,000 vehicles. Whether the latest result represents a new monthly record will depend on the final figure reported by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
Using 50,000 units as the minimum reported figure, deliveries increased by at least 24.95% from September’s 40,015 vehicles and at least 2.77% from the 48,654 units recorded in October last year.
The increase ended two consecutive months of year-on-year declines. Deliveries fell 4.61% in September, while August also recorded a year-on-year decrease.
Sky Nomad Supports Delivery Recovery
The October rebound comes as Xiaomi Auto expands deliveries of its Sky Nomad extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) series, which appears to be helping offset weaker sales of the SU7 and YU7.
Launched on September 7, the Sky Nomad series marked Xiaomi’s entry into the extended-range electric vehicle segment. It delivered 12,444 units in September and attracted more than 70,000 locked-in orders within 30 days of its launch.
The model’s contribution to October deliveries has not yet been disclosed. However, its production and delivery ramp-up is an important factor in Xiaomi Auto’s efforts to increase overall sales.
Annual Target Requires Faster Delivery Pace
Xiaomi Auto delivered at least 336,490 vehicles during the first 10 months of 2026, representing an increase of at least 6.69% from 315,376 units in the same period last year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
The cumulative figure represents approximately 61.2% of the company’s annual delivery target of 550,000 vehicles.
To reach that goal, Xiaomi Auto would need to deliver as many as 213,510 additional vehicles in November and December, equivalent to an average of approximately 106,755 units per month. That would be around 2.1 times October’s reported minimum delivery figure.
Despite achieving its strongest monthly performance of the year, the company therefore faces a substantial challenge in reaching its annual target without a significant acceleration in production and deliveries over the final two months.
Domestic Market Remains Key
All Xiaomi Auto vehicle sales currently come from China, where the broader new energy vehicle (NEV) market has faced weaker retail demand.
Retail sales of new energy vehicles in China declined 16.7% year on year in September, marking the ninth consecutive month of decreases, according to CPCA data.
Xiaomi Auto’s cumulative deliveries reached at least 887,798 vehicles by the end of October, compared with 837,798 at the end of September.
The company’s exact October delivery total and model-level breakdown are expected in a CPCA report later this month. Those figures will provide a clearer picture of the contribution from the Sky Nomad series and whether Xiaomi Auto can sustain its recent recovery.
