Xpeng is partnering with Mexican charging network Electronity to deploy more than 100 charging points across Mexico by the end of 2027. The network, operated by Drivewatt México, plans to install an initial 30 fast-charging points by the end of 2026, with another 70 scheduled to follow by the end of 2027.
The agreement expands Xpeng’s charging infrastructure as the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer develops its presence in Mexico. The company entered the market in spring 2026, introducing its G6 and G9 electric vehicles in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey.
Xpeng and Electronity Create Joint Charging Brand
Under the partnership, the companies will establish a charging network brand called “Xpeng | Electronity.” Xpeng customers will receive a 10% discount on charging costs at participating Electronity stations for one year.
The partners also plan to integrate an interactive map of charging locations into Xpeng’s digital platforms. The feature is intended to help drivers locate charging points and plan journeys with charging stops.
Charging Accessories to Reach More EV Owners
The cooperation will extend beyond charging infrastructure. Authorized Xpeng dealerships are expected to offer charging accessories to customers of other electric vehicle brands, making the products available beyond the automaker’s own customer base.
Rollout Details Remain Unconfirmed
The planned expansion is expected to increase the network to more than 100 charging points over approximately two years. However, the companies have not yet disclosed the specific station locations or charging capacities for the planned installations.
The partnership gives Xpeng a local infrastructure partner as it seeks to support its electric vehicle customers and expand its operations in Mexico.
