Hyundai has opened reservations for the Ioniq 3 in the UK, introducing the compact electric hatchback with two battery options, four trim levels and prices starting at £22,245. The larger 61 kWh battery is expected to provide up to 308 miles (496 kilometres) of range, although the figures remain subject to final homologation.
Battery Options and Range
The entry-level Ioniq 3 Advance is available with either a 42.2 kWh or 61 kWh battery.
The 42.2 kWh Advance starts at £22,245 and uses a front-mounted electric motor producing 107.8 kW and 250 Nm. Hyundai expects the version to achieve 213 miles (343 kilometres) of range.
The 61 kWh Advance costs £25,745 and uses a 99.5 kW motor. Despite its lower motor output, the larger battery gives this version the highest expected range in the lineup at 308 miles (496 kilometres).

The 61 kWh battery is also available in Premium, Ultimate and N Line Evo specifications. The Premium starts at £27,445 and has an expected range of 303 miles (488 kilometres), while the Ultimate starts at £29,945 with an expected range of 300 miles (483 kilometres).
The N Line Evo is priced from £31,945 and includes 19-inch wheels along with specific exterior and interior styling. Its expected range is 265 miles (426 kilometres).
Charging and EV Technology
The Ioniq 3 uses a 400-volt electrical architecture. Maximum DC charging power is rated at 119 kW for the 42.2 kWh battery and 110 kW for the 61 kWh version.
Hyundai estimates that charging from 10% to 80% takes 29 minutes with the smaller battery and 30 minutes with the larger pack. Both versions feature an 11 kW onboard charger for AC charging.

The technology package includes Plug & Charge and an EV route planner. Depending on specification, the Ioniq 3 can also be equipped with a heat pump and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality for supplying power to external devices.
Compact Electric Hatchback
The Ioniq 3 measures 4.15 metres in length and 1.8 metres in width, with a 2.68-metre wheelbase. The compact hatchback provides 441 litres of boot space, increasing to 1,213 litres when the rear seats are folded.
Interior technology varies by specification, with either a 12.9-inch or 14.6-inch display available. Hyundai also offers Digital Key 2.
The N Line Evo adds Memory Reverse Assist, which records the previous 50 metres of driving inputs and can use that information to assist with reversing.
Hyundai Targets Wider EV Adoption
Hyundai is positioning the Ioniq 3 as a more accessible addition to its electric vehicle range, combining a compact body with multiple battery and equipment options.

UK reservations are now open, with the first deliveries dependent on final vehicle homologation and market launch timing.
