Wallbox, a global supplier of electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management solutions, has partnered with Hera Comm, part of Italy’s Hera Group, to install 58 Supernova 120 kW DC fast chargers across Central-Northern Italy by the end of 2025.
The rollout will be supported by Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) under the European Union’s Next Generation EU program.

The chargers will be located throughout key areas of the Emilia-Romagna region, including Forlì-Cesena, Ravenna, and Rimini. The project forms part of Italy’s broader push to expand its EV infrastructure and promote sustainable transportation. Hera Comm, one of the country’s largest energy providers, will oversee installation, commissioning, and operation of the new charging stations.
“This collaboration with Hera Group is a strong example of how technology, local expertise, and government incentives can come together to accelerate EV adoption,” said Ignasi Alastuey, Chief Business Officer at Wallbox. “With Supernova, we are enabling the rollout of a robust, future-ready fast charging network in some of Italy’s most strategic regions.”

Each location will feature Wallbox’s Supernova 120 DC fast charger, which delivers up to 120 kW of power and is designed for efficiency, scalability, and reliability. The initiative reflects ongoing public-private cooperation aimed at supporting Italy’s growing EV market.
By expanding fast-charging availability in urban and interurban areas, Wallbox and Hera Group seek to make electric mobility more accessible to both commuters and long-distance drivers.
