Urban mobility specialist Tern has launched an updated version of its Vektron folding e-bike, introducing stronger motors, integration with the Bosch Smart System, and a new belt-drive option aimed at reducing maintenance and improving everyday usability.
The latest Vektron lineup, available in several configurations, retains its compact folding design while offering upgrades in performance and comfort.
The e-bike can roll on its wheels even when folded, easing transfers on public transport, and its pannier rack includes reinforced supports that allow the bike to stand securely when folded. Integrated mudguards, lighting, and a pannier-ready rack are standard across the range.
The two top models – the Vektron P10 and Vektron P5i – now feature Bosch mid-drive motors delivering 75 Nm of torque, up from 65 Nm on earlier versions. Both models are fitted with the Bosch Smart System, while an optional GPS tracker is available.
The P5i is equipped with a five-speed hub gear paired with a low-maintenance belt drive in place of a traditional chain, a feature designed to prevent grease stains when stored inside cars. Buyers can also choose between a sportier or more relaxed riding position, depending on preference and ride style.
The Vektron P5i and P10 will go on sale in Europe starting October 2025, with prices beginning at €3,999 ($4,735). A special-edition Vektron P7i, fitted with a seven-speed hub gear, will be sold exclusively in Germany, Austria, and the Benelux region from €3,799 ($4,500). Tern said pricing and availability may vary by market.
