Li Auto will launch its new Li i6 electric SUV in China on Sept. 26, as the automaker seeks to revive demand following steep sales declines and muted reception of its first battery-electric SUV, the Li i8.
The Li i6, described by the company as a five-seat SUV with a compact exterior and spacious interior, measures 4,950 mm in length and has a 3,000 mm wheelbase. It features a low-drag design aimed at reducing energy use and extending driving range. The model will be available in single- and dual-motor versions with a maximum CLTC-rated range of 720 km.

The SUV will be priced between RMB 250,000 and RMB 300,000 ($35,130–$42,160), Li Auto said earlier this month. It will become the automaker’s second pure-electric SUV after the Li i8, which launched this year but has so far struggled to gain traction.
Li Auto’s deliveries fell 40.7% year-on-year in August to 28,529 units, marking the third straight month of double-digit declines. From January through August, deliveries totaled 263,198 units, down 8.6% from a year earlier.

The company has set delivery targets of 6,000 units per month for the Li i8 and 9,000–10,000 units for the Li i6 by the end of 2025. Including the Li Mega electric MPV, Li Auto expects monthly sales of its pure electric lineup to stabilize between 18,000 and 20,000 units.
The Li i6 is positioned to compete with premium mid-size SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3 and Audi Q5, offering a lower-cost alternative to established luxury brands.
